Nextgen Global initiative is preparing to implement a future housing support project aimed at constructing five (5) fully accessible, permanent houses for persons living with disabilities (PWDs) in Makueni and Kakamega Counties. Many PWDs in these regions face dire housing conditions—living in unsafe, dilapidated structures that expose them to harsh weather, insecurity, and indignity.
This project seeks to restore dignity and provide a safe, decent environment for some of the most vulnerable members of our society. Each house will be designed to be wheelchair-friendly, with proper roofing, sanitation, and solar lighting.
Project Goals
- Construct 5 disability-friendly houses (2 in Makueni, 3 in Kakamega)
- Improve living standards and security for targeted PWD families
- Promote inclusive development and dignity for all
Approximate Budget
KES 4,830,000
